WWII had been underway for nearly five years when this painting was created, and its dark atmosphere is reminiscent of the dissenting response from artists and writers. \u201cWe\u2019ll Meet Again,\u201d sung by Vara Lynn, is one of the most well known songs of WWII and represents the sentiment of those whose loved ones were sent to the battlefield. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/div><div class=\"flex_column av_one_third  flex_column_div av-zero-column-padding first  avia-builder-el-4  el_after_av_two_third  el_before_av_one_third  column-top-margin\" style='border-radius:0px;
